Thomas Harvey Kennedy was born on July 7, 1924. He served in the 562nd Bomber Squadron, 388th Bomber Group, Heavy as a Staff Sergeant and Ball Turret Gunner of #42-30225 "Plain Mister Yank" aircraft during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 26, 1943 and is now buried in the Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery, Fort Leavenworth, Leavenworth County, Kansas, USA. Staff Sergeant Kennedy was one of the many brave Americans of the 388th Bomber Group who lost their lives in aerial operations against the German forces from June 1943 - August 1945.
