Delmar Dean McBeth was born on June 24, 1922. He was the son of Egbert C. McBeth and Marjorie K. Redmon McBeth. He served in the 562nd Bomber Squadron, 388th Bomber Group, Heavy, as a Togglier of #42-102485 "Bare Essentials" aircraft during World War II. He was Killed in Action on May 28, 1944 and is now buried in the Bantry Union Cemetery, Bantry, McHenry County, North Dakota, USA. SSgt McBeth was one of the many brave Americans of the 388th Bomber Group who lost their lives in aerial operations against the German forces from June 1943 - August 1945.
