Victor Robert "Pappy" Olson was born on November 4, 1922. He served in the 560th Bomber Squadron, 388th Bomber Group, Heavy, as a Second Lieutenant and Pilot of #42-97219 "Reuel's Revenge" aircraft during World War II. 2Lt Olson was Killed in Action on September 28, 1944 when their plane was shot down by a flak in Germany. He is now buried in the Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, San Mateo County, California, USA. He was one of the many brave Americans of the 388th Bomber Group who lost their lives in aerial operations against the German forces from June 1943 - August 1945.
