Guido Ambrose Rosa was born in 1922 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. was born on March 31, 1922 in Pennsylvania. He graduated from St. Joseph's School and worked for the Greyhound Bus Lines. Guido joined the Air Corps of the U.S. Army Reserve in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 11 September 1942 as a Private. He received his commission and the silver wings of a Navigator at San Marcos, Texas in October 1943.

On April 11, 1944, their plane was attacked by fighters just after bombs away, which shot off part of the vertical stabilizer. It stayed in the formation a few minutes, then dove down and crashed into the water. Five chutes were seen, but the men must have perished in Baltic Sea, Germany. 2Lt Rosa is now buried in the Ardennes American Cemetery, Neupré, Belgium. He was one of the many brave Americans of the 388th Bomber Group who lost their lives in aerial operations against the German forces from June 1943 - August 1945.
