Guadalupe A. Sandoval entered the military service in Texas. He served in the 563rd Bomber Squadron, 388th Bomber Group, Heavy, as a Sergeant and waist gunner of #42-31103 "Pegasus II" aircraft during World War II. A member of the WilsonL crew, he was killed when their plane crashed on March 23, 1944. Their plane was attacked by enemy fighters, one of which collided with this aircraft knocking off a wing. It went down in a spin. Three chutes were seen to open, one of which was split. Sgt Sandoval is now buried in the Ardennes American Cemetery, Neupré, Belgium. He was one of the many brave Americans of the 388th Bomber Group who lost their lives in aerial operations against the German forces from June 1943 - August 1945.
