Peter Karl Schou was born in 1916 in Michigan. He served in the 561st Bomber Squadron, 388th Bomber Group, Heavy, as a Second Lieutenant and Co-Pilot of #42-31084 aircraft during World War II. A member of the Eccleston crew, he was killed when their plane crashed on December 20, 1943 when it was shot down by a flak. He is now buried in the Ardennes American Cemetery, Neupr�, Belgium. 2Lt Schou was one of the many brave Americans of the 388th Bomber Group who lost their lives in aerial operations against the German forces from June 1943 - August 1945.
