Lawrence T. "Lolly" Cormier was born on December 7, 1924 in Somersville, Tolland County, Connecticut. He was the son of Joseph J. Cormier and Jane M. Auffrey Cormier. Lawrence served in the 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division as a Private during World War II. He died on September 25, 1944 at the age of 19 during the liberation of Eerde, The Netherlands and is now buried in the Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands.
