Joseph Lee "Joe" Houser was born on February 24, 1920. He was the son of Glenn M. Houser and Rosa Puttkamer Houser. Joseph served in the 386th Bomber Group, Medium as a Second Lieutenant during World War II. He was killed while piloting a B-26 during a bombing mission over Blakheim, Germany. 2LT Houser is now buried in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Columbus, Cherokee County, Kansas, USA.
