William A. Nordland was born on June 13, 1926 in Wharton, New Jersey. He served in the 386th Bomber Group, Medium, as a Sergeant during World War II. He survived the war and resided in Buncombe County in 1988. William attended Asheville Gospel Chapel, as well as attending Emmaus Bible College and had a ministry to the Appalachian people of Kentucky. He died on August 20, 2017 at the age of 91 in Asheville, North Carolina and is now buried in the Lewis Memorial Park, Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina, USA.
