John R. Pardridge was born on September 7, 1918 in Los Angeles County, California. He was the son of John Lockwood Pardridge and Gladys Buel Pardridge. John served in the 554th Bomber Squadron, 386th Bomber Group, Medium, as a First Lieutenant/Bombardier of A-26C #43-22522 aircraft during World War II. On a target mission in Rothenburg, Germany, a direct flak hit tore off the whole tail of his aircraft and crashed near Karlsruhe, Germany. He is now buried in the Lorraine American Cemetery, Saint-Avold, France.
