Lee Transou Goff was born on January 10, 1890, the son of Sallie Transou Goff. Lee served in Company K, 138th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division as a Corporal during World War I. He was Killed in Action on September 24, 1918 at the age of 28 by high explosive shell while making an observation the night before the Argonne battle. He is now buried in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Humboldt, Gibson County, Tennessee, USA.
