Robert J. Fandray, Sr. served in the 364th Fighter Squadron, 357th Fighter Group as a Lieutenant during World War II. He was Killed in Action while flying the P-51 'Just Right' #44-13543 aircraft, was shot down by an enemy aircraft on September 18, 1944, near Sevelen, Germany. He is buried now in the Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, USA.
