Lance Albin Pousette was born on March 1, 1920, son of Edwin Pousette and Minnie Pousette. He served in the 367th Fighter Squadron, 358th Fighter Group as a First Lieutenant during World War II. A pilot of the P-47D #42-74678, he was shot down by flak and fighters on return from the escort mission to Ludwigshafen, Germany on January 7, 1944. 1LT Pousette is buried now in the Union Cemetery, Hannaford, Griggs County, North Dakota, USA. His name is listed on the Leiston Airfield Memorial in England, but his middle initial is inscribed as W.
