Raymond E. Porter was born on April 10, 1910 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. He served in the 81st Combat Engineer Battalion, 106th Infantry Division as a Sergeant during World War II. He was taken as a prisoner in the Battle of The Bulge and died on December 24, 1944. SGT Porter was initially buried in the Gerolstein town cemetery in Germany. His final resting place is in the Ardennes American Cemetery, Neupré, Belgium.
