Charles Joseph “Chuck” Levandoski was born in 1916 in Maryland. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on June 23, 1942 at Olmsted Field, Middletown, Pennsylvania. He was noted as being employed as a welder and also as Single, without dependents.
Charles served as a Flight Officer, 83rd Squadron, 437th Troop Carrier Group, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He died of a non-battle related incident when he was struck in the head by a piece of shrapnel after a time-delayed round exploded. F/O Levadonski is buried now in the Epinal American Cemetery, Dinozé, France.
