Charles E. Marion was educated at Michigan University and made the Army his career. At 32 years of age he held the Silver Star and Air Medals. He was assigned as a Pilot with the 303rd Bomb Group/360th Bomb Squadron on 1-May-42 at Gowen Field, Boise, Idaho with the rank of Major. He was the Commanding Officer in the 303rd Bomb Group from 13-Feb-43 to 19-Jul-43.
