George Malcolm Williams was born on December 2, 1922 in Comanche County, Oklahoma. He was the son of George Lightfoot Williams and Artie B. Williams. He served in the 364th Bomber Squadron, 305th Bomb Group (Heavy), based at Chelveston, Northamptonshire, as a Sergeant and Left Waist Gunner of the B-17 #42-31322 "Mi Amigo" during World War II. On 22 February 1944, the heavily damaged USAAF B-17 Flying Fortress aircraft Mi Amigo was returning from a bombing mission over Aalborg, Denmark, where it had been attacked by enemy fighter aircraft. Around 5 pm, engines faltering, it emerged out of low clouds and crashed in the park. The entire crew perished.

SGT Williams is now buried in the Highland Cemetery, Lawton, Comanche County, Oklahoma, USA.
