Guy W. Gowen was born on March 29, 1919, in Hardwick, Vermont. He was the son of Elroy Horace "Roy" Gowen and Maud Arabella Gowen.
Guy served in the 325th Glider Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, as a Second Lieutenant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on June 6, 1944, at the age of 25 in France. 2Lt Gowen is now buried in the Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-Sur-Mer, France.
