Albert Vernon Banning, aged 20, was born on June 12, 1924. He was the son of William Henry Banning and Florence Irene Ramsdill Banning. He was married to Virginia VanDugteren Ryan.

Albert served in the 569th Bomber Squadron, 390th Bomber Group, Heavy, as a Flight Officer and Navigator on the B-17 #42-107070 during World War II. He was Killed in Action on December 27, 1944, when his airplane crashed near Parham, England. F/O Banning is now buried in the Cambridge American Cemetery, Cambridge, United Kingdom.
