Dominic Angelo “Bud” Pulli was born on February 28, 1921, in Clarendon, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Anthony A Pulli and Mary C Scalise Pulli.

Dominic served in the 848th Bomber Squadron, 490th Bomber Group, Heavy, as a First Lieutenant and Navigator on the B-17 #43-38051 during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 13, 1944, in Roydon, England, when his airplane crashed after a mid-air collision with B-17 #43-37618. The crash resulted in the death of 4 members of his crew; six survived and returned to duty, while the other airplane, has seven casualties.
