Donald C. Grant was born on May 3, 1922, in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. He was the son of James A. Grant and Elsie C. Cameron Grant.

Donald served in the 848th Bomber Squadron, 490th Bomber Group, Heavy, as a First Lieutenant and Navigator on the B-17 #43-38131 'Little Miss Mary Kay' during World War II. He was Killed in Action on April 5, 1945, when his B-17 was shot down by German flak boats in the harbor of Middelharnis, Netherlands.

1Lt Grant is now buried in the Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA.
