Cecil Marion Morris was born on June 28, 1914. He served in the 849th Bomber Squadron, 490th Bomber Group, Heavy, as a Technical Sergeant during World War II. He was killed on March 12, 1944, a few minutes after taking off at the Mountain Home Army Air Base at Idaho, aboard B-24E #42-7239.

The other crew members who perished were Harold J Phillips, Stanley N Millholen, John H Suttle, and Richard C. Buttler.

TSgt Morris is now buried in the Quanah Memorial Park, Quanah, Hardeman County, Texas, USA.
