John H. Suttle was born on September 20, 1922. He was the son of Eli Allison Suttle and Lula Mae Pollard Suttle.
John served in the 849th Bomber Squadron, 490th Bomber Group, Heavy, as a Sergeant during World War II. He was killed on March 12, 1944, a few minutes after taking off at the Mountain Home Army Air Base at Idaho, aboard B-24E #42-7239.
The other crew members who perished were Harold J Phillips, Cecil M Morris, Stanley N Millholen, and Richard C. Buttler.
Sgt Suttle is now buried in the Lone Grove Cemetery, Lone Grove, Carter County, Oklahoma, USA.
