Daniel B. Lockstead was born in 1919 in Florida. He was the son of Bryant Christan Lockstead and Hattie Rudd Lockstead. He was married to Catherine Elizabeth Lambeth Ray.
Daniel served in the 850th Bomber Squadron, 490th Bomber Group, Heavy, as a Technical Sergeant and Togglier on the B-17 #43-39297 during World War II. He died on April 5, 1945, during a bombing mission over Nurnberg, Germany. He is now buried in the Lorraine American Cemetery, Saint-Avold, France.
