Albert Lee Tucker was born on December 21, 1920, in Dallas, Texas. He was the son of Albert Andrew Tucker and Emily Annie DeWees Tucker.
Albert Lee had attended Forest Avenue High School and was employed by Sanger Bros. before entering the service in February 1943. He received his wings on December 5, 1943, at Stockton, California. Albert served in the 863rd Bomber Squadron, 493rd Bomber Group, Heavy, as a First Lieutenant and Pilot on the B-17 #43-38261 during World War II. He was Killed in Action in Germany on September 12, 1944, when his airplane was shot down by an enemy aircraft and crashed. It resulted in the deaths of 8 airmen and 1 POW.
1Lt Tucker is now buried in the Oakland Cemetery, Dallas, Dallas County, Texas, USA.
