Joseph L. Fury was born in 1922 in Rhode Island. He was the son of Joseph L. Fury and Elizabeth Croft Fury.
Prior to the war, Joseph had been an employee of the Hope Webbing Company. He was inducted into the Army in December 1942. At the time of his death, Joseph was serving in the 119th Infantry Regiment, 30th Infantry Division, as a Private. He was Killed in Action on August 27, 1944, during the liberation of Vexin, France. Pvt Fury is now buried in the Mount Saint Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket, Providence County, Rhode Island, USA.
