Hardy Henson Shinault was born in 1924 in Fayette County, Tennessee. He was the son of George Henson Shinault and Mary Inez Duncan Shinault. He was married to Virgie N Hazelwood Prince.
Hardy served in the 119th Infantry Regiment, 30th Infantry Division, as a Private during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 28, 1944, during the liberation of Vexin, France. Pvt Shinault is now buried in the Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-Sur-Mer, France.
