Chester T. Robinson was born on May 21, 1922, in Gonzales County, Texas. He was the son of William A Robinson and Ellie Estell Ivey Robinson. He was married to Beulah Mae Mangum Robinson.

Chester was engaged in farming before entering the Armed Forces on December 9, 1943. His first training was at Camp Fannin, and later, he was sent to Maryland. Leaving for overseas on June 11, 1944, he landed in England and was sent into France from there. Serving in the 117th Infantry Regiment, 30th Infantry Division, Pvt Robinson was Killed in Action on August 29, 1944, at the age of 22, during the liberation of Vexin, France. He is now buried in the Gonzales City Cemetery, Gonzales, Gonzales County, Texas, USA.
