Albert John Ruback was born on November 3, 1919, in Lansford, Pennsylvania. He was the son of John Stephen Ruback and Rose M. Ruback.

Albert enlisted in the U.S. Army on February 2, 1942, at Ft. George G. Meade, Maryland. He served in Company C, 120th Infantry Regiment, 30th Infantry Division, as a First Sergeant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 29, 1944, at the age of 24, during the liberation of Vexin, France. 1Sgt Ruback is now buried in the Gettysburg National Cemetery, Gettysburg, Adams County, Pennsylvania, USA.
