Myron R. Piatt was born on February 11, 1924, in Stewartsville, Belmont County, Ohio. He was the son of Richard Piatt and Lee Omma Nelson Piatt.

Myron served in the 314th Infantry Regiment, 79th Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 27, 1944, during the liberation of Vexin, France, and is now buried in the Brittany American Cemetery, Montjoie Saint Martin, France. His name is commemorated on the Liberation of Vexin monument in Fontenay-Saint-Père, but he is listed under August 26, 1944, casualties.
