Grover Lee Solesbee was born on May 7, 1915. He was the son of Jefferson Riley Solesbee and Nellie L. Lewis Solesbee.
Grover served in the 119th Infantry Regiment, 30th Infantry Division, as a Private during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 29, 1944, at the age of 29, during the liberation of Vexin, France. Pvt Solesbee is now buried in the Mount Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery, Buffalo, Union County, South Carolina, USA.
