Howard G. Stricker was born in 1916. He was the son of Charles H. Stricker and Josephine Stricker.

Howard served in the 511th Fighter Squadron, 405th Fighter Group, as a Second Lieutenant and Pilot on the P-47 #42-76513 during World War II. On August 14, 1944, On August 14, 1944, 2Lt Stricker took off from Advanced Landing Ground A-8 in Picauville, France, for an armed reconnaissance mission to the region of Dreux and Chartres. At 2:40 PM, he was shot down in aerial combat by an enemy fighter, crashing his airplane towards Prunay-le-Gillon - 13 km southeast of Chartres. He was killed during the combat.

2Lt Stricker is now buried in the Parkwood Cemetery and Mausoleum, Baltimore, Baltimore City, Maryland, USA.
