Arthur B. "Bart" Kosier was born on September 2, 1938, in Williams County, Ohio. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Kosier of Melbourne.

Arthur attended high school at Edgerton before enlisting in the US Air Force on October 17, 1955, and was a member of the Edgerton Methodist Church. He received training at the Lackland and Shepard AF Base and was assigned at MacDill AFB, Tampa, Fla., before going overseas on December 4, 1956.

At the time of his death, Arthur was serving in the 420th Air Refueling Squadron. He was one of the crew members and a casualty of the two KB-29 mid-air collision over Normandy, France, on February 2, 1957. Their plane crashed near the village of Morigny, 20 miles from St. Lo. Arthur is now buried in the Floral Grove Cemetery, Pioneer, Williams County, Ohio, USA.
