Lawrence Murray Grigory was born on April 9, 1917. He was the son of Henry L Grigory and Eva A Lawson Grigory.

At the time of his death, Lawrence was serving in the 420th Air Refueling Squadron. He was one of the crew members and a casualty of the two KB-29 mid-air collision over Normandy, France, on February 2, 1957. Their plane crashed near the village of Morigny, 20 miles from St. Lo. MSgt Grigory is now buried in the Plainview Cemetery, Madison County, Texas, USA.
