Comments:

Joseph Marion Roznos was born on March 19, 1921. He was the son of Joseph and Hazel (Bosley) Roznos. He attended Hollywood High School graduating in 1939.

Joseph enlisted in the Army Air Corps as a Private on April 18, 1942. At the time of his death, Joseph was serving in the 328th Bomber Squadron, 93rd Bomber Group, Heavy, as a First Lieutenant and Pilot on the B-24 #42-40983 'Bar Fly' during World War II.

On April 1, 1944, his crew took off from Hardwick, England, for a mission to Germany. At 11:52H, on return from their mission, their plane was shot down by flak and enemy fighters between Fresne-les-Reims and Burgundy, France. Unfortunately, none of the crew members survived. The MACR cannot be found, but it is possible that the plane crashed in Belgium.

1Lt Roznos is now buried in the Glen Haven Memorial Park, Sylmar, Los Angeles County, California, USA.
