Grover F. Neaveill was born on April 3, 1918, in Posey County, Indiana. He was the son of Otto Fay Neaveill and Stella Hess Neaveill. He was married to Ruby Aileen Paul Jochim.

Grover served in the 318th Infantry Regiment, 80th Infantry Division, as a Private during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 10, 1944, during the liberation of Sill�-le-Guillaume, France. Pvt Neaveill is now buried in the Brittany, American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-James, Departement de la Manche, Basse-Normandie, France.
