Steve Lacour was born on November 8, 1922, in Zimmerman, Rapides Parish, Louisiana. He was the son of James Sidney LaCour Sr. and Lucy Pace LaCour. He served in Company A, 275th Infantry Regiment, 70th Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during World War II.
PFC Lacour was Killed in Action on February 7, 1945, during the liberation of Grosbliederstroff, France. He is now buried in the Epinal American Cemetery and Memorial, Epinal, Departement des Vosges, Lorraine, France.
