Peter John Schab was born on October 18, 1917, in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York. He was the son of Anton Schab and Barbara Schab. He was married to Margaret Agnes Heaphy Schab McElearney. He served in Company A, 275th Infantry Regiment, 70th Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during World War II.
PFC Scha was Killed in Action on February 7, 1945, during the liberation of Grosbliederstroff, France. He is now buried in the Epinal American Cemetery and Memorial, Epinal, Departement des Vosges, Lorraine, France.
