Quentin Hudson Prussman was born on November 28, 1919. He was the son of Ralph Prussman and Emily M. "Emma" Radley Prussman. He served in the 326th Airborne Engineer Battalion, 101st Airborne Division, as a Private First Class during World War II.

During Operation Market Garden in September 1944, the 326th Airborne Engineer Battalion supported Allied advances in the Netherlands by clearing obstacles and maintaining vital roads and bridges. Some engineers arrived by glider under heavy enemy fire, and one glider crash near Son resulted in several fatalities.

PFC Prussman was Killed in Action on September 20, 1944, and is now buried in the Greenwood Cemetery, Brookings, Brookings County, South Dakota, USA.
