A polished black inscribed marble setting in a garden next to a sent of benches.
The memorial remembers "C Company" of the 526th Airborne Engineer Battalion, 101st Airborne Division and their actions in the area during Operation Market Garden in September 1944. The plaque lists the soldiers of Charlie Company Killed in Action in this battle.
The memorial is adjacent to a plaque to "Easy Company" 506th PIR and a memorial to a British Army Unit, the 44th Royal Tank Regiment, who Charlie Company fought along side during a battle in this town.
