Angelo Joseph DeLuca was born on April 2, 1925, in Youngstown, Mahoning County, Ohio. He was the son of Pasquale DeLuca and Josephine DeLuca. PFC DeLuca served in the United States Army with the 740th Tank Battalion in World War II. Known as the “Daredevil Tankers”, the 740th was a separate battalion that fought from Utah Beach all the way to the Baltic Sea in support of various divisions of the US war effort.

PFC DeLuca was Killed in Action on April 16, 1945. He is now buried in the Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown, Mahoning County, Ohio, USA.
