Albert Lee Ashbrook was born on June 4, 1923, in Oklahoma. He was the son of Lee Roy Ashbrook and Lillie Faye Stewart Ashbrook. He was married to Belle Maurine Henry Ashbrook. T4 Ashbrook served in the United States Army with the 740th Tank Battalion in World War II. Known as the “Daredevil Tankers”, the 740th was a separate battalion that fought from Utah Beach all the way to the Baltic Sea in support of various divisions of the US war effort.

In civilian life, Albert was an operator and maintenance man in winemaking for 27 years. He died on February 3, 2010, and is now buried in the Clovis Cemetery, Clovis, Fresno County, California, USA.
