William Anthony �Tony� Farrar Jr. was born on March 10, 1987, in San Bernardino, San Bernardino County, California. He graduated from Palm Springs High School. He was assigned to the 127th Military Police Company, 709th Military Police Battalion, 18th Military Police Brigade, based in Darmstadt, Germany. He was later deployed in Iraq to support Operation Iraqi Freedom.

On May 11, 2007, Spc Farrar was killed in action near Al Iskandariyah, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated beside his vehicle. He is now buried in the Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, Riverside County, California, USA.
