Brandon Allen Parr was born on June 1, 1981, in Bakersfield, Kern County, California. He enlisted in the United States Army in August 2003. He served with the 630th Military Police Company, 759th Military Police Battalion, 89th Military Police Brigade, based in Bamberg, Germany. He was later deployed in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Sgt Parr was killed on March 3, 2007, in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated near his vehicle. He is now buried in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah, USA.
