Born on 5 August 1921 in Kansas. Bombadier of the B-17 “Queen of the Air” , serial number 42-31975, that took off from Station 110 Polebrook in Northamptonshire in the UK at 8am on 27 May 1944. Shot down by an ME 109 German fighter at 12:30. Suddock successfully bailed out and survived the crash. He evaded the scene but was taken prisoner and interned at Fresnes (France), then was one of 168 aviators deported to Buchenwald on 15 August 1944 and finally to Stalag Luft III in Sagan.
