The cemetery is located on the north side of Le Mans, just west of the Sarthe river. It is east of Avenue Rhin et Danube, a large thoroughfare which leads into the center of town. The West Cemetery is a fairly large property surrounded by a stone wall. At the entrance there is a stone archway topped with a cross and flags of several countries and regions including the United States.
