Grafton Underwood Church

This gray stone church has a dark roof and a steeple that is visible from Brigstock Road. It is connected to a small cemetery. The church is home to a memorial stained-glass window dedicated to American airmen who were stationed at the nearby airbase during World War II.

The Church of Saint James the Apostle is located on the south side of Grafton Underwood on the west side of Brigstock Road. It is accessible by a small bridge that spans a creek parallel to Brigstock Road and the small road that leads to the church. This route is indicated by a sign which reads "8th USAAF Memorial Window" (located next to a traditional red telephone booth).
