Site is located in the town of Torre di Paestum, in the Villa Comunale “S. Anna” Park, just a few kilometers from the UNESCO World Heritage site of Paestum. Paestum is south of Salerno. Town is named for the medieval tower (torre) located in the town and was a significant feature in the landings in Salerno in September 1943; many soldiers of the 36th Division fell on the land occupied by the park. Park is only open certain times of the day, but site is visible through the fence. .
