The site is located in Andonno, a frazione (Neighborhood) or Valdieri, in the province of Cuneo in the Piedmont region in northwest Italy. The site lies between the Valle Gesso and Valle Stura. Andonno is about 4 kilometers northeast of Valdieri and 15 kilometers southwest of the provincial capital of Cuneo along SP 22. In the frazione of Andonno the site is on Via della Madonna about 200 meters past the Cappella della Madonna (Chapel of the Virgin Mother).
