The site is located near Chapel-le-Ferne, a village situated near Folkestone, Kent., 80 miles southeast of London and just a few miles west from the white cliffs of Dover and seven miles west of the Folkestone Euro Chunnel station. The site that was chosen at Capel-le-Ferne for a national memorial had played its part in both world wars. The site is approached from either Dover or Folkestone on the B2011 at Capel le Ferne. When coming from London, leave the M20 at J13 and follow the signs.
